WELCOME

We, the faculty and staff, welcome you and your child to Rock Springs Elementary School. We encourage your involvement and look forward to building a strong home/school partnership.

Wednesday dismissal.................2:00

VISITORS

You are always welcome to visit our school at any time. However, school board policy requires that all visitors check in the school office before proceeding to any area on campus. Please read more information detailing our requirements by clicking on the "School Policies" Tab.

STUDENT PLANNERS
We use a daily student planner to assist with communication between the school and the parents.
We ask that you check and sign your student's planner every day.

CLOTHING

Shoes must be worn at all times. Extremes in dress have no place at Rock Springs Elementary. In an effort to avoid any embarrassment regarding dress, please have your child avoid wearing:
Shirts that have patches, etc., which portray alcoholic beverages, drug advertisements, vulgar language, or gestures.
Half shirts, see-through shirts, halter tops, short shorts, or short skirts.
Hats, visors, wave caps, scarves or bandannas.

FOOTWEAR
Backless shoes, and the popular shoes with wheels (known as Heeleys) are not allowed on campus.  Students have recess daily and PE three days a week.  We recommend that students wear shoes that they can easily run and play in. 

ADDITIONAL INFO
Pocket knives have been added to the list of banned weapons on all campuses as an addition to the Code of Student Conduct.

Parents are the cornerstone of any child's education. We need parents to be involved in the day to day operations of the schools. The school has several committees and booster organizations that are focused on making the school a highly productive, wonderful place to be.
